School House 2 JAIL House

School House 2 Jail House……

The hallway walls are cold cemented blocks painted over in dull tones of gray and off whites. The floors seemed to be stripped of it’s shine. While, the lights are nothing spectacular and dim in certain areas. The children are all looking for some form of hope or just freedom to be who the are. They sit in isolated cells renamed classrooms with wardens called principals. They line up in straight lines, heads down, hands locked behind them. It’s an institutional setup to strip away ambition, tarnish dreams, rebuke visions of entrepreneurship. They; the children all are numbers, simple numbers to be entered into systems; systems for scores, systems for food; systems for institutionalized mindsets. I rather reject.
