Whispers Oh My!!!

A smile seems to be the most simple thing to share but somehow people are being met with frowns and stares that don’t seem to be very Christian as whispers start to escape from the visitors and members lips about skirt lengths, and firmly fitted clothes mixed in with Oh, no’s as sisters toot up their nose.

Whispers escape out of traditional mouths about wearing slips and thangs.  as they continue to kill folks with merely their eyes. What happened to pulling sisters to the side and telling them lovingly about covering up their tighs.

Waiting for the elders to arise and guide the young minds…….

I wrote this creative expression listed above because I haven’t always had the conviction of The Holy Ghost to cover myself up in fact I had a spell where I wore my tight skirts and honey I thought I was doing something because dudes were looking at me but  as I realized that they weren’t checking out my beauty they were just lusting after me I began to question myself. Who wants a man to lust after them? I surely don’t. In fact I will take love any day.  Being plus size and on a budget becomes a difficult  task to manage. In order to dress correctly you will have to pay more money. The longer dresses cost more and more material cost more therefore dressing modest becoming expensive.I had no idea about thrifting or how to have a few blouses and a basic pair of bottoms.

Now, I was saved but didn’t understand the significance of the total transformation process. Honestly, I allowed the Holy Ghost to just guide me. Now, I would have appreciated if a elder woman would have come to me and had clothes for me rather then to whisper behind my back and look at me with disgust. As Christians and especially as leaders we have to do better and learn how to operate in love more. If we see a sister slipping lets have enough courage to pull her over to the side with a solution and love….

Peace & Blessings,

Don’t let me run into some money. I will do ambush church make overs for the young women I run into…

Perceptions oh my! And Stubbornness of Traditions

Perceptions— and the Stubbornness of Traditions…..

Every generation has something new to offer and something new to put out into the atmosphere, and guess what? All of it isn’t crap as long as it’s done respectfully, and holy ghost lead and inspired.

I encourage the young, and older people to step out of traditional boxes and worship God how the Holy Spirit leads you. If we get out of the way of judging and applying negative labeling to concepts without listening to the words and passion behind the art and express we miss out on an opportunity to show love and understand the universality of our God……

It’s time to do away with negative perceptions, and this stubbornness of tradition and this lackluster desire to want to understand and listen to the younger generations translation of the same older hymns that are familiar. Check out how the young folks add their flavor and sit down and pour more wisdom into them instead of quickly condemning them.

Flow how you flow!!!

I love spoken word, you might love to flow, I love to dance, you might get your dance on differently. We are all made by God and we are truly all unique. Get out of that traditional tight and restricting box and worship God in your own comfortable way !!!

Speak Life Over Your Situation

My God….. I run into so many women who might have come out of relationships from hell and I hear some of them saying, “I don’t need a man and I don’t want a man”. Do you understand that the power of life or death is in your tongue…What you speak out of your mouth. So, in your heart you truly want a relationship and even marriage but to appear hard on the outside you say the opposite with your mouth. You better start speaking on what you want. If you want a honest, and committed relationship, or even sanity walk around and SPEAK LIFE into your victory. I am sending some encouragement to you all to change your language about yourself and others. Pour life….speak life…receive life…

The Bible Says…..
“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.” PROVERBS 18:21
Mark 11:22-24: “And Jesus answered them, “Have faith in God. Truly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him. Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Matthew 21:22:” And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”
